Ethics
As a piercer, I feel it is imperative for me to adhere to the highest level of ethics.
- Cross Contamination Prevention: I have gone through extensive training to ensure I never endanger you as a client. I have a firm understanding of blood borne pathogens and how to mitigate
- Marking & measuring, using the right size jewelry
- Aesthetic placement
- Taking your lifestyle into account
- Making sure the piercing will heal
- Mitigate the amount of pain you feel and the damage to your tissue
- Give clear instructions on taking care of your piercing
- Inform you of the potential risks associated with a particular piercing
- Not take advantage of you
As a client, I expect you to adhere to the same level of ethics. I am here to provide a service. Albeit a very personal intimate experience, but a service nonetheless.
- Don’t try to get pierced by me if you are underage!
- Please, don’t come in under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Listen to my concerns. If I don’t feel a piercing is in your best interest, I will tell you. Please don’t make it difficult for me to have your best interest in mind. Some piercings aren’t for everyone. It depends on your anatomy, lifestyle, and commitment.
- Inform me if you have any medical conditions that may affect piercing results such as:
- Conditions that affect blood clotting or you have a history of excessive bleeding
- Skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, etc. I am not a dermatologist, please consult one before coming to get pierced if you have a concerning skin condition.
- Most important of all, take care of your piercing & take care of yourself.
What tends to make a piercing experience go well?
- Relax. The more relaxed you are, the easier it will be.
- Eat within 1-2 hours before getting pierced.
- Be informed. Research the piercing you want, either on the internet or ask me.
- Get a good night’s rest.
- Don’t come in rushed or flustered, I’m patient
